An Innovation Campus
What sets the Ranum Innovation Campus apart is its commitment to becoming a regional, multi-generational campus, providing upskilling and reskilling opportunities for adult learners when not utilized by middle and high school students.

A Vision For The Future
We have a vision for the future that will bring public and private resources together to prepare students for tomorrow’s workforce. On the Iver C. Ranum Innovation Campus, students will learn from industry professionals and educators while using state-of-the-art equipment so they can move directly into the work force upon graduation or have a head start as they move on to higher education.
More Space, More Options
While Westminster High School has a robust and very successful Career Technical Education (CTE) program, space on the high school campus is limited. The Ranum Innovation Campus provides space for new instruction and hands-on learning. In addition, the new campus provides students with more program choices and opportunities to either leave high school with a high-paying, meaningful job or be better prepared for post-secondary education.
Timeline
The campus is built out in phases with the initial work focusing on the renovation of the building to allow for maximum flexibility in determining specific career pathways on the Ranum and Westminster High School campuses. Renovation began in 2022 for Phase 1 with students first welcomed on campus in the 2024 school year. With the passing of bond 4C in November 2024, Phase 2 of renovations will begin soon with additional pathways coming online in the months ahead.
Funding
In November 2024, Westminster voters passed 4C, a $111 million investment in capital improvements across the district. A portion of those funds will be set aside to develop Phase 2 of Ranum Innovation Campus. That work will be beginning soon. Initial funds for Ranum's renovation began in April of 2022, when the Westminster Public Schools Board of Education approved funding for Phase 1 work on the Ranum campus.
Funds for Phase 1 of the project were appropriated as follows:
$10 million from Certificates of Participation (COP) generated by the 2018 mill levy override.
$10 million from the general fund.
WPS is actively exploring partnerships with public and private organizations to support the vision of the campus.
Enrolling At Ranum
Enrolling in one of the three pathways (Aviation Engineering, Cyber Technology, and Biotechnology) is as easy as enrolling in Westminster Public Schools! Health Sciences, Construction Engineering, and Advanced Manufacturing Pathways will be coming online soon.
