An Innovation Campus

Architectural rendering of brick building with glass and landscaping

What sets the Ranum Innovation Campus apart is its commitment to becoming a regional, multi-generational campus, providing upskilling and reskilling opportunities for adult learners when not utilized by middle and high school students.

A Vision For The Future

Ranum Reimagined is a vision for the future that will bring public and private resources together to prepare students for tomorrow’s workforce. On the Iver C. Ranum Campus students will learn from industry professionals and educators while using state-of-the-art equipment so they can move directly into the work force upon graduation or have a head start as they move on to higher education.

More Space, More Options

While Westminster High School has a robust and very successful Career Technical Education (CTE) program, space on the high school campus is limited. The Ranum campus provides space for new instruction and hands-on learning. In addition, the new campus will provide students with more program choices and opportunities to either leave high school with a high-paying, meaningful job or be better prepared for post-secondary education.

Timeline

The campus will be built out in phases with the initial work focusing on the renovation of the building to allow for maximum flexibility in determining specific career pathways on the Ranum and Westminster High School campuses. District leaders are visiting other innovation campuses to determine the best use of space and dollars. The campus will open for the 2024 school year.

Funding

In April of 2022, the Westminster Public Schools Board of Education approved funding for Phase 1 work on the Ranum campus.

Funds for the project were appropriated as follows:

$10 million from Certificates of Participation (COP) generated by the 2018 mill levy override.

$10 million from the general fund.

WPS is actively exploring partnerships with public and private organizations to support the vision of the campus.

Enrolling At Ranum

Enrolling in one of the three pathways that make up the Colorado STEM Accelerator program (Aviation Engineering, Cyber Tech and Biomedical Tech) is as easy as enrolling in Westminster Public Schools!
